'Urban Child' center to open at St. Christopher's

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, in North Philadelphia, said its Center for the Urban Child, an effort to deal with health issues particular to poor, inner-city families, will open next month.

The center is part of a $110 million investment in St. Christopher's announced two years ago by its for-profit owner, Tenet Healthcare Corp.

The child center is housed in a new, 30,000 square-foot medical office building on St. Christopher's campus at the intersection of North Front Street and Erie Avenue. - Harold Brubaker
