James S. Raphael has been appointed chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Program at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. Raphael was associate chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and will continue as director of Einstein's Hand Surgery Program.

AnnMarie Papa has been appointed vice president and chief nursing officer at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. She had been clinical director for emergency, observation and medical nursing at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Kadir Erkmen has been appointed associate professor of neurosurgery at Temple University School of Medicine, and director of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery and the Neurosurgery Residency Program at Temple University Hospital. Erkmen had been assistant professor of surgery and neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and surgical director of the Cerebrovascular and Stroke Program, director of Skull Base Surgery, and medical director of the Neuroscience Special Care Unit at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.

Cozen O'Connor, Philadelphia, said it has expanded its health-care practice group with the addition of R.
