The region ranked 7th in 2012, just ahead of San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, according to the report.
With an estimated gross metropolitan output of $373.9 billion for 2013, the region trails seventh-place San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont ($377.2 billion) and is just ahead of Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, ($346.4 billion).
