Military Assistance Project, a Philadelphia nonprofit established to provide free legal services for active-duty, Reserve, or veteran military personnel in the form of pro bono bankruptcy services, named the following to its inaugural board:

Dan Astin, a partner at Ciardi, Ciardi & Astin;

Frank Ryan, president of F.X. Ryan & Associates, and

Carl Singley, retired Temple University law professor who also serves as counsel to Ciardi, Ciardi & Astin.

American Revolution Center has elected Ray Halbritter, Richard Vague, and Gordon S. Wood to its board. Halbritter is chief executive officer and representative of the Oneida Nation. Vague is a private investor who is currently a managing partner of Gabriel Investments and managing director of the Miletos Group. Wood is the Alva O. Way University professor and professor of history emeritus at Brown University.

Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit, business-led civic organization, elected the following members to its board:

F. Michael Wojewodka, Jr., senior vice president of MRA Group, Horsham.

Foreign Policy Research Institute, a nonprofit foreign-policy think tank, has elected Winston J. Churchill and Edward O'Connor to its board. Churchill is managing general partner of SCP Partners, formed Churchill Investment Partners Inc. and CIP Capital L.P., and from 1967 to 1983 practiced law at Saul Ewing L.L.P. O'Connor served as a U.S. diplomat in Cuba and Guatemala from 1993 to 1997.

Opera Company of Philadelphia appointed Sandra K. Baldino, Peter Leone, and Maria Juantorena Trafton to its board. Baldino is founder and chair of the nonprofit organization Generocity Community Alliance Inc. Leone is president of Leone Industries. Juantorena Trafton is a senior vice president and regional managing director for the Pennsylvania and Delaware region of Wells Fargo Private Bank.

TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce, Pottstown, named the following officers to its board:
