Kuehl has been named to the newly created position of chief administrative officer; he had been chief financial officer since 2008. Michael S. Thompson, former chief accounting officer, assumed the role of chief financial officer. Mary Kay Shea, former controller, has been promoted to chief accounting officer.

Philadelphia native and banking-industry veteran Paul S. Beideman has been named president and CEO of Avenue of the Arts Inc., the nonprofit that aims to reinvigorate the arts-and-entertainment scene on Broad Street. He was chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Region for Mellon Financial Corp. until 2001 and served as CEO of Associated Bank Green Bay from 2003 to 2010. He serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Zoo, Widener University, and the Philadelphia Academies.

Executive director Karen Lewis has been named the organization's chief operating officer.

Franklin Square Capital Partners, a Philadelphia distributor and sponsor of alternative-investment products structured for retail investors, hired John Towle as chief marketing officer. Towle, a 25-year veteran of the financial-services industry, had been chief marketing officer for Resource Real Estate, a subsidiary of Resource America Inc.

Manna, a Philadelphia nonprofit that provides food assistance, promoted Susan Daugherty to executive director from chief operating officer. Richard Keaveney, CEO, left office Oct. 1 and will remain an adviser to Daugherty and the Manna board until the end of December.

Acentech Inc., a Cambridge, Mass., acoustics, audio-visual systems design, and vibration-consulting firm, hired Perry J. Artese as a senior consultant in its Trevose office. He had been a sales engineer at Advanced Audio Visual in West Chester.

Meghan E. Dougherty has been promoted to sales and service manager from assistant manager of the Kings Highway branch of TD Bank, Cherry Hill.

Anexinet Corp., a Blue Bell systems integrator and technology-management company, hired Susan Haindl as vice president of delivery. She had been managing director of operations at Pew Charitable Trusts.

Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit provider of in-home health care, hired William L. Gross as senior vice president for development. He had been director of development for Carson Valley Children's Aid in Flourtown.

TD Bank, Philadelphia, named Susan Schwartz senior relationship manager in middle-market commercial banking. She had been a senior relationship manager at both M&T Bank, Villanova, and Wachovia Bank, Plymouth Meeting.

Sally Mandes has been hired as resources manager at Developmental Enterprises Corp., a Norristown nonprofit provider of vocational and habilitation services for mentally retarded and other developmentally disabled adults. She had been office manager at the Baum printing plant of RR Donnelley in Northeast Philadelphia.
