New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co., West Trenton, promoted William Bergen to director, general claims, and John W. Hardiman to director, personal-lines policyholder services. Bergen had been manager of general claims in Parsippany. Hardiman had been manager of personal-lines services

D4 Creative Group, Philadelphia, announced the hiring of several executives:

Angel Fischer was named account director. Fischer had been director of integrated marketing at Southern Living magazine, a Time Inc. publication.

Kevin Schluth was appointed account supervisor. He had been a senior account executive at Allebach Communications.

Brad Bergman was named art director. He had been senior designer and multimedia artist at a northern New Jersey integrated-marketing communications agency.

Lightwave Logic Inc., a publicly held Newark, Del., company developing applications in high-speed fiber-optic telecommunications and optical computing, hired Babu G. Sundar as principal investigator. He had been a research scientist working on central-nervous-system drug development at Cephalon Inc.

Main Line Health hired Jeshahnton Essex as vice president of Riddle Hospital. Essex had been assistant administrator at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital in Memphis.

Genesis HealthCare, a Kennett Square provider of skilled nursing and assisted-living care, appointed JoAnne Reifsnyder chief nursing officer. She replaces Nancy Grimes, who retired after 17 years with the company. Reifsnyder had been senior vice president, care transitions, with Care Kinesis L.L.C. in Moorestown.

GlobalFit, a Philadelphia provider of physical-activity programs for businesses, announced six recent hires.

Richard E. Penn is executive chairman. He was founder of MPI Outsourcing, Telemarking Concepts, and ICT Group.

Owen Murphy is director of marketing. Murphy had been vice president, sales and marketing, at Total Access Medical and chief marketing officer at ShredStation Inc.

Melissa Fowler is northeast regional vice president, business development. She had been vice president of global sales for Monster Worldwide.

Frank McCartney, former executive director of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, has been named Toll Industry Market Leader at Parsons Brinckerhoff, a provider of infrastructure strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization.

Wingspan Technology Inc., a Blue Bell software company, hired Kathie Clark as director of product management for the life sciences. She had been director of product management at NextDocs.

Valley Forge Casino Resort, King of Prussia, has named Chris Garrison the property's executive chef. Garrison's culinary background includes serving as executive chef of the Cove at Riverview at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and executive chef of Bien Shur restaurant at Sandia Resort and Casino in New Mexico.

South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Deptford, hired Kenneth Barnshaw as vice president of governmental affairs. He had been township manager of Deptford.

Minneapolis-based NorthMarq Capital L.L.C., a commercial real estate mortgage-banking firm, hired bankers Ed Brown and Philip E. Deeter in its Philadelphia regional production office. They were co-founders and principals of Devon Realty Capital, which was the Philadelphia office of Q10 Capital.

Electronic Ink, a Philadelphia design consultancy, hired Lindsay Grow as a senior designer. She was a media designer for Cadient Group.

WVT Communications Group, a Warwick, N.Y., technology company providing cloud-based services, appointed David J. Cuthbert president. He will continue to serve as the chief operating officer and will be based in the Philadelphia area.

Buck Consultants, a Philadelphia human-resources and benefits-consulting firm, hired Gerald Hopper as principal in the retirement practice. Hopper will be based in the company's Berwyn office. He was a partner and founding member of Mercer's U.S. Financial Strategy Group.

Frank Pina has been named director of the Litigation Support team at Mercadien P.C., Princeton. He was a manager in the Forensic & Dispute Services practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services L.L.P.
