St. John Vianney Scholars Program, a nonprofit group that provides financial scholarships and academic support to inner-city children attending Catholic school, has elected Michael Greenly chairman. He is first vice president, investments, at UBS Financial. Peter Miller, president of Carlino Development, is vice chairman.

The American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses, Cherry Hill, has named Susan Carter president and Twilla Shrout vice president/president-elect. Carter is a perianesthesia nurse with the University of California, San Diego. Shrout is a staff nurse, same-day surgery, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Joni Brady, a pain-management nurse — nursing administration at Inova Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria, Va., is secretary. Katrina Bickerstaff, staff nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, is treasurer. Chris Price, administrator at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, Del., is immediate past president.

Deborah Bickford, staff nurse at Torrance Memorial Hospital, Torrance, Calif., is regional director, Region 1. Armi Holcomb, staff nurse at Children's Mercy Hospitals/South Campus, Overland Park, Kan., is regional director, Region 2. Kevin Greenberg has been appointed by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party as a member of the Platform Committee of the Democratic National Committee, responsible for drafting and recommending a proposed platform that will be adopted by the party at its national convention. Stacy L. Asbell, of counsel at Hyland Levin L.L.P. in Marlton, has joined the board of the Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service, based in Cherry Hill. The JFCS provides social services to South Jersey residents of all ages and faiths. Services include counseling, support groups and a food bank.

Peter Boyer, a partner at Hyland Levin L.L.P. in Marlton, was elected to the board of directors of Singing City, a Philadelphia-based choral group.

Julius C. Green has been reelected treasurer of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a professional association. Green is a partner and director of exempt-organization tax services with ParenteBeard L.L.C. in Philadelphia. He is chair of PICPA's budget and finance committee and diversity committee. Green also serves on PICPA's foundation board of directors.

National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Pennsylvania has elected the following officers and board members for 2012-13: B. Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations, a trade group that provides policy development, advocacy, and services to member organizations and community-development corporations, has elected the following board members: Marcus Allen, CEO of ACHIEVEability; Maria Gonzalez, vice president of HACE; Melissa Kim, director of the North Fifth Street Revitalization Project at the Korean Community Development Services Center, and Kira Strong, vice president of community development at the People's Emergency Center.

The New Jersey Supreme Court has appointed attorney John C. Connell to the board of trustees of the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey, a statewide trust that generates funds to provide legal assistance to the poor, improvements to the administration of justice, and legal education to the public. Connell is a partner and shareholder of Archer & Greiner P.C., Haddonfield.

Stephanie J. Sprenkle and Karen M. Sanchez have been appointed to serve as hearing committee members by the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from District I Disciplinary District for a term of three years. The board is an independent agency funded by the court and oversees jurisdiction of the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. Both are attorneys at Thorp Reed & Armstrong L.L.P., Philadelphia. Sprenkle is senior counsel in the commercial, real estate and public finance practice group. Sanchez is an associate in the group.
