US Airways pilots picket at PHL for a contract

It must seem like the movie Groundhog Day for US Airways pilots since the airline merged with America West five years ago this month. The pilots' union still hasn't reached agreement with the company on a new contract that would integrate the two workforces and try to change a compensation structure adopted when the old US Airways was in bankruptcy. The issue has been complicated by dispute within the ranks of the union over the seniority lists for the two carriers when they were separately owned. Trying to move ahead, the pilots say, is why their union walked an informational picket line yesterday at PHL.
