American, Delta talking joint venture with Japan Airlines

The airline investment world has been buzzing about this news for a couple of days. Both American's parent, AMR Corp., and Delta have been talking to Japan Airlines about a minority investment or other commercial arrangements that would help the ailing Japanese flag carrier.
