Passenger on Frankfurt-Detroit flight has TB

The Centers for Disease Control says a passenger on a Northwest flight from Frankfurt to Detroit has tuberculosis and is in a Michigan hospital. CDC has contacted 17 people who sat near the unidentified traveler on the flight, last Thursday, but doubts anyone else contracted the illness. Airborne illnesses on airline flights are of great concern to many in health care and the travel business because of how quickly they could spread and affect dozens of people.
