The column: Why PHL suffers delays in a snowstorm

This morning's Winging It column looks at what happened at PHL last Wednesday when more snow fell than expected overnight and 100 airplanes had to be deiced before taking off. If you were on a flight that landed in the morning, you could have been delayed getting to your gate -- and if departing, very late getting airborne. Read about PHL's response to the weather.

Also in The Inquirer this morning, Mark Gale, the city's acting director of aviation, talks in an inerview with Linda Loyd about his long love affair with aviation and his plans to keep PHL humming while the mayor searches for a permanent replacement for Charles Isdell. Read all about that here.
