My final wedding photo

Still, you can never see enough pretty photos of winter brides, can you?

I promise that this is my last blog item about the Blizzard of 2009 and the many Dec. 19th nuptials it nearly ruined.

(This is the story that got the ball rolling. This is the first blog post that followed. Here's the second one. Hmmm, too much?)

But Jennifer Davies, the catering manager Horsham's Manor House at Commonwealth, couldn't let memories of the blizzard melt without an ovation to her co-workers making sure that Colleen Donovan, Joey Pohle and their wedding guests got to boogie on that ridiculously snowy day.

Colleen, a private-school teacher, and Joey, a first assistant at Chester Valley Golf Club, made it without a hitch (excuse the pun) to their 2:30pm wedding at a Maple Glen church. But as the storm worsened and pre-arranged transportation to their Manor House reception fell through, it looked like the party might not happen.

But Manor House employees, along with the groom's dad, played chauffeur all night (some staffers even went to guests' homes to retrieve them), and everyone got to the reception only slightly soggier for the effort.

So mazel tov to the couple and hats off to Manor House.

And, oh, to all you berothed couples hankering for a winter-wonderland wedding?

There's a reason that June is a popular marriage month.
