Summer Redux: Records fall
New highs for Wilmington, Trenton, Allentown.
The official high of 84 at Philadelphia International Airport on Tuesday was perfectly normal -- for a June 18.
Philly just missed tying the record for an Oct. 18 – 85 -- set back in 1908, and should break one on Wednesday, when the threshold is a mere 80.
Meanwhile, Allentown, at 85 a degree better than Philadelphia's, did set a new standard for the date, as did Wilmington and Trenton.
Although Philly fell just short of a record, it still was a solid 18 degrees above the normal for the date.
