Willow and Jaden Smith get deep in mind-blowing interview

Did you ever wonder what happens when two rich teenagers existentially ponder the basic theories of relativity, time, and the reason for life? No? Neither did anyone else. But that hasn’t stopped Willow and Jaden Smith from doing it in a predictably obnoxious way.

Did you ever wonder what happens when two rich teenagers existentially ponder the basic theories of relativity, time, and the reason for life? No? Neither did anyone else. But that hasn't stopped Willow and Jaden Smith from doing it in a predictably obnoxious way.

Willow's and Jaden's Twitter accounts are already mind-blowing. They're known for tweeting things like this:

Will and Jada Smith's offspring received validation when they were interviewed by the New York Times. Needless to say, things got weird. Here's what we learned:

First, Jaden and Willow exist in an alternate consciousness, obvi.

JADEN: The P.C.H. being one of them; the melancholiness of the ocean; the melancholiness of everything else.

WILLOW: And the feeling of being like, this is a fragment of a holographic reality that a higher consciousness made.

JADEN: [bursts into laughter] As soon as me and Willow started releasing music, that's one thing that the whole world took away is, okay, they unlocked another step of honesty. If these guys can be honest about everything, then we can be more honest.

But contrary to popular belief, they're not your average teenagers:

JADEN: Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty.

Though they may have studied some basic, more obscure scientific concepts, Jaden has yet to grasp the basic fundamentals of the human language. But, hey, he speaks Jaden, indefinitely.

JADEN: I have a goal to be just the most craziest person of all time. And when I say craziest, I mean, like, I want to do like Olympic-level things. I want to be the most durable person on the planet.

Also, move over Kim and Kanye, there's a stylish new grossly self-absorbed pair in town:

JADEN: Willow just dropped a song ("Cares"), let me quote the lyrics: "I do not care what people say." We both don't really care. I like to wear things that I make, but I throw it on as though I was throwing on anything. It looks cool, sometimes.

WILLOW: I like to go to places with my high-fashion things where there are a lot of cameras. So I can just go there and be like, "Yep, yep, I'm looking so sick." But in my regular life, I put on clothes that I can climb trees in.

The New York Times article, titled "Jaden and Willow Smith on Prana Energy, Time and Why School is Overrated," naturally created a social media firestorm.

The Washington Post and Vice magazine both spoke with experts who were able to corroborate some of what Jaden and Willow were saying which may be either good or bad for the kids. On the one hand, the initial visceral reaction of, "My God, what have Will and Jada created!?" kind of diminishes. On the other hand, it seems like Willow and Jaden's desire to be utterly original and new age-y is actually just the result of having time to study things like physics and philosophy.

Whatever the case, we're just going to get deep with TIME Magazine's Jaden and Willow Smith Poetry Generator.

"here on earth,

your whole life can pass by in six seconds

inside all of our minds

a place of oneness

the most craziest person of all time"
