WATCH: Man buys first iPhone 6, promptly drops it on live TV

Apple fans got their Christmas morning moment today with the release of the iPhone 6, but for one Australian man, the dream almost immediately turned into a nightmare.

Apple fans got their Christmas morning moment today with the release of the iPhone 6, but for one Australian man, the dream almost immediately turned into a nightmare.

Known only as "Jack," the man reportedly slept outside of a Perth, Australia Apple store overnight to be the first person to get his hands on some hot new tech—a fact that landed him an unboxing interview on Perth's Today morning show. Unfortunately, it looks like Jack was a little nervous.

Upon opening the box, Jack's new iPhone 6 sadly fell to the concrete, prompting painful, guttural sounds from the surrounding crowd. However, if you listen, you can hear Jack say "It's all good!" before the interview cuts out. Crisis averted.

Still, though, buyers take note—if you're looking for a cool phone, the iPhone 6 might just be the slickest on the market. Just ask Jack.
