Meek Mill is "no longer welcome" in Toronto following his assertion this week that the city's favorite rapper, native Drake, "don't write his own raps."

Or, at least that's what Toronto City Councillor Norm Kelly says:

Which maybe was not the best decision on Mr. Kelly's part, considering that Meek is currently scheduled to perform July 28 in Toronto. So, naturally, the Councillor got a very Philly response:

Following that, Norm — bless his soul — walked the anti-Meek schtick back a little, telling the rapper that he can still come up to Toronto, but he just won't be welcome:

Kelly, of course, is somewhat known in Toronto for his Twitter antics, which include getting in on the city's recent #DeadRaccoonTO viral trend and taking potshots at Toronto's own golden boy, Drake.

Meek, meanwhile, is mostly known for being real. Most recently, he apologized to girlfriend Nicki Minaj for going after Drake, who she considers a mentor and friend:

But, still, even with the apology, the damage for Drake appears to have been done.
