Philly's Kevin Hart killed it on 'SNL' this week'

Philadelphia's own Kevin Hart was this week's host of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Philadelphia's own Kevin Hart was this week's host of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Hart's opening monologue focused on his SNL audition from back in the day and featured his Denzel Washington and Robert De Niro impressions. Later, he played Oscar nominee Quevenzhané Wallis after the 9-year-old was named as the new Pope. He called out Mississippi for being super racist, fired a creepy guy who was working at a book store, and used white guilt against the survivors on The Walking Dead.

Also, the cold open featured a "Philly school teacher" who was thrilled to lose her job to sequester-related funding cuts. The teacher addresses her students during a Barack Obama press conference with an enthusiastic, "Good luck reading Beowulf, you animals." Check out the whole episode, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performing "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us" over at Hulu.
