Philadelphia glows in two videos by local filmmaker

Both part of Popp’s “Uncover Philly” series, “Summer Nights at Race Street Pier,” and “Philly’s Ultimate Rooftop” are two shorts—1:30 videos—that chronicle the city after the sun sets.

Views from above reveal a unique perspective many pedestrians don't get to see on a regular basis. Enter Cory J Popp, who has filmed a variety of overhead drone videos as well as rooftop perspectives showcasing the city in more well rounded way.

Both part of Popp's "Uncover Philly" series, "Summer Nights at Race Street Pier," and "Philly's Ultimate Rooftop" are two shorts—1:30 videos—that chronicle the city after the sun sets.

Shot from Race Street Pier on the Delaware Riverfront, "Summer Nights" showcases the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and an aerial view of the PATCO train, which runs parallel to the pier.

Near 20th and Market streets, "Philly's Ultimate Rooftop" was shot from 2 Commerce Square and shows the city light up after dark with a surprise fireworks show at the end.
