Grandfather disowns his daughter after she disowns his gay grandson

A letter purportedly penned by an angry grandfather began making the rounds on the Internet on Wednesday after the Huffington Post caught wind of it. According to the letter, a young man came out of the closet and told his mother that he was gay. The mother supposedly kicked her son out of the house disowning  him.

*Enter badass, grandfather/equal rights advocate*

The woman's father wrote a letter in which addresses the "shame in the family" and the "abomination" his daughter brought about by disowning her son.

In wake of his daughter's apparent disavowal of her gay son, this grandfather seems to be stepping up to the plate when it comes to his care and well-being: "He was born this way and didn't choose it more than he being left-handed. You, however, have made a choice of being hateful, narrow-minded and backward. So while we are in the business of disowning children, I think I'll take this moment to say goodbye to you. I now have a fabulous (as the gay {sic] put it) grandson to raise..."
