Director Cameron Crowe talks ‘odd bird’ Bradley Cooper in leaked Sony e-mails

After a brief period of dormancy following the initial security breach late last year, scores of leaked internal Sony e-mails have begun making their way back into the public eye thanks to a newly established WikiLeaks repository.

And, perhaps not surprisingly given the last round of leaks, Jenkintown heartthrob Bradley Cooper didn't go unscathed.

This time around, director Cameron Crowe has referred to the local favorite as an "odd bird" in the context of a conversation about Cooper, Emma Stone, and Bill Murray — all of whom will star together in Crowe's upcoming Aloha.

From Crowe's e-mail exchange with then-Sony chairwoman Amy Pascal via WikiLeaks:

Crowe also took issue with Murray's performance in the film, which he tells Pascal is "pretty much … what you saw." However, that doesn't seem to be a problem for Pascal, who says that "the movie belongs to [Bradley] more than I realized in the process."

Stone, for her part, seemed to have the surprise performance in Aloha, with Crowe saying that "you don't slip Emma in" and "let's give her fanfare again."

"This archive shows the inner workings of an influential multinational corporation," WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange wrote of the newly publicized leaks yesterday. "It is newsworthy and at the center of a geo-political conflict. It belongs in the public domain."
