Travel back to the ‘80s this summer during Awesome Fest

Is the kid in you still playing Pac-Man on your Atari, wearing hair scrunchies or marathoning The Cosby Show?

Don't be ashamed! Embrace the '80s at Awesome Fest, an era-themed pop culture bonanza that celebrates those wonderful years.

Awesome Fest includes more than 50 outdoor movies, special guests and musical acts that everyone will love. All outdoor screenings are free of charge, so '80s fans can enjoy this celebration regardless of their budget.

The ten-week, Philly-wide festival kicks off on Friday, June 14 with a concert from '80s band The Psychedelic Furs at The Trocadero. The festivities continue with a prom straight out of a John Hughes film on Saturday, June 15 at Parx Casino, appropriately right after a screening of Pretty in Pink.

Parx Casino will also wrap up the festivities on Saturday, August 17 with a 25th anniversary screening of the cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Other screenings include The Princess Bride, Revenge of the Nerds, The Goonies and Purple Rain.

Whether you are a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess or a criminal, Awesome Fest will have an event that is perfect for your nostalgic soul.
