The Flower Show will remain open despite winter storm forecast

Despite the possibility of 10 to 14 inches of heavy snow tomorrow, the Flower Show will be open for those looking for a tropical refuge from the winter storm. Visitors can stop by the Pennsylvania Convention Center to check out the blooms from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The show has a history of being plagued with bad weather. Ironically, the theme of this year’s show is water.

According to Kevin Feeley, the communications manager of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, show tickets will be honored throughout the week so if guests are unable to visit tomorrow, their tickets can still be used through Sunday, March 11. PHS is also encouraging visitors who plan to come to stick to public transportation if possible.

“There are few better places in the city to escape the snow than a walk through the rainforest,” Feeley said.

During show week, tickets purchased online at cost $32 on weekdays and $35 on weekends for adults, $22 on weekdays and $24 on weekends for students and $17 for children. At the box office, tickets cost $35 on weekdays and $40 on weekends for adults, $24 on weekdays and $26 on weekends for students and $19 on weekdays and $20 on weekends for children.
