Stephen Starr hosts 11th Annual BBQ Challenge at Citizens Bank Park this weekend
Join Stephen Starr & Garry Maddox for the 11th annual ultimate BBQ challenge on August 11th at Citizens Bank Park. With 12 restaurants and 45 pit master teams competing for the best barbecue, this is not an event you want to miss.
Nothing says summer like a barbecue, and for the last 11 years, Steve Starr & Garry Maddox have been pleasing BBQ lovers with their BBQ challenge. Well to everyone's delight, the challenge is returning on August 11th at Citizens Bank Park. From 3:30-6:30, a cavalcade of restaurants and grill masters will be cooking up some of the finest barbecue that Philadelphia has to offer.
The competition will feature teams from a number of Steve Starr restuarants, particularly Continental Mid-town, El Vez, Butcher and Singer, El Rey, Jones and Pod.
Along with being a food competition, this is also a charity event that supports the Garry Maddox's nonprofit Youth Golf & Academics Program, a program that promotes education and development of urban youth.
To spice up this event even more is a raffle that offers 6 lucky people the opportunity two have lunch with two Phillies legends, Mike Schmidt and the "Secretary of Defense" Garry Maddox. Check out more info HERE!
