So, you should probably start paying attention now.

So, you should probably start paying attention now.

For a boozy book: "Whisky Advocate" magazine managing editor and author Lew Bryson will stop by the Trestle Inn (11th and Callowhill) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to talk whiskey — and taste it.

For an outdoor evening: The last Twilight in the Gardens at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens (1020 South St.) begins at 7 p.m. and celebrates Day of the Dead. Sound artist Ben Warfield presents hypnotic sonic experiences set to artist Joel Evey's visuals. Lighten up with BYOB and paper shadow puppets.

For a musical collaboration: Minimalist — but still production heavy — sonic builder-vocalist duo, Sylvan Esso, muses about coffee on their first single. They play Union Transfer (1026 Spring Garden St.) at 8 p.m.

For inappropriate laughs: Anthony Jeselnik jokes about things you maybe…shouldn't. Example: dead babies. Catch him at the Keswick Theatre (291 N. Keswick Ave.) at 8 p.m.

For a late-night talk show: Hosts Rob Alesiani and Joe Tuzzi host the comedic Two Late with Rob and Joe, featuring local celebrity guests Fox 29's Mike Jerrick, HipCityVeg and Charlie Was A Sinner owner Nicole Marquis and comic Mike Rainey. The show begins at 10:30 p.m. at the Adrienne Theatre (2030 Sansom St.) at Friday, Oct. 24. Oh, and a cool extra: An anonymous donor will donate $1 for every ticket sold ($2 if the show sells out) to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Sweet!
