Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

Nutcracker, please take a seat. There is a new show in town. If you love your ballet tinged with a bit of glitz and goofy, then this one's for you. If you loved Black Swan, but just wished a fabulous drag queen would jump into the frame and relieve some of the tension at points, then this is for you also.

The Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, or “Troks” for short, will be taking over Philadelphia this coming Friday, December 14th. The fantastic dance troupe dates back to 1975 and has solidified themselves as an epic worldwide dance phenomenon ever since. The professional group is all male, and performs a variety of full range modern and ballet dance movements, enhanced with various forms of comic elements.

The Annenberg Theater in University City will host the event. Enjoy the show and don’t forget to stop over the UPENN LGBT Center after the festivities for a special cocktail reception, hosted by the Sapphire Fund.
