Five things to do today – growing herbs, Dunkel Dare, film festival

I have a secret for you. Better yet, I have five.

I have a secret for you. Better yet, I have five:

For a new exhibit: The newest addition to the Delaware Children's Museum is Nancy Pia's "Paper, Strings & Other Things." Her creative pieces use everyday items in collage form. The Wilmington, DE museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For game show fans: Mark Summers, the original host of Nickelodeon's messy game show Double Dare, comes to Frankford Hall on Frankford Avenue to host Philly Beer Week's version: Dunkel Dare. Teams compete in obstacle course challenges and trivia questions for audience members tonight at 7 p.m.

For an herbal lecture: Ever get that feeling that your garden is missing something? Maybe it's a selection of herbs. Choose the right herbs for your garden and how to incorporate them into future meals at the Growing and Using Herbs lecture at the Camden County Environmental Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Sign in starts at 6:30 p.m.

For a one man show: A "roast of the American male" Sex, Drugs, Rock  & Roll, a one man show, opens at Plays and Players Theatre in Rittenhouse Square at 7 p.m.

For an opening night: The Lighthouse International Film Festival's first screening, This Time Next Year—a film that follows residents of Long Beach Island, NJ the year following Hurricane Sandy—premieres at 7 p.m. at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, NJ.
