Brunch and things to do go hand in hand.

For innovators: A temporary exhibit at the Franklin Institute explores various inventions that changed history, from the wheel to the Internet. The Logan Square museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For a demonstration: In case you're ever transported back to the 17th century, this open hearth cooking class at Pennsbury Manor demonstrates culinary techniques unique to cooking in the brick fireplace. The class runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Morrisville, Pa.

For a closing night: Arthur Miller's classic "Death of a Salesman" closes today at Plays and Players Theater in Rittenhouse Square. The final performance is today at 3 p.m.

For YouTube stars: The aptly named OMG Music Fest showcases a barrage of young artists and YouTube sensations as they display their musical skills for audience members within the same age bracket at the TLA on South Street. The 7 p.m. show's lineup includes Jacob Whitesides, Round2Crew, Alyssa Shouse and more.

For a cabaret: 26-year-old Caroline Dooner is throwing out title ideas for her future memoir tonight at Bella Vista's L'Etage at 7 p.m. Other than the hilarious stories, she'll also have a backing band to add some tunes to the laughs.
