Where will you be watching the World Cup?

Believe it or not, exactly one month from today the United States will play its first match of the 2010 World Cup.

From now until then, I have a project that I'm going to be working on, and I need your help to do it. I want to find out where soccer fans across the Philadelphia area will be watching the World Cup - and I want to find fans of each of the 32 teams in this year's tournament.

Yes, really. Whether from Algeria, Germany, Honduras or even North Korea, my goal is to tell stories of as wide a range of soccer fans as I can find in the region. I'll be doing so not only in writing, but in video form as well. So will reporters from the Inquirer, who I'll be working with to spread this project out as broadly as possible.

Your job is to let me know what team (or teams) you're supporting, and where you'll be watching games. We all know about the major bars across the region, and of course they'll be packed. But let's see if we can broaden things beyond that.

I think we can. So email me with whatever information you have, and I'll start putting a list together. I'll post it on here every few days so that we can spread the word around.

This is going to be the first time that I've been in Philadelphia for a World Cup. We know it's going to be a big deal no matter what, but we have the chance here to make something really special of it. After all, the chance to do something like this only comes around once every four years.

Seriously, someone needs to ban spittoon and happybob. They aren't even funny anymore. They're bitter that the Union is successful so instead of living their lives they feel the need to read and comment on every soccer article they can find. It's actually pretty funny. They probably know more about the Union than some of my friends who actually like soccer.

I will be watching the world cup in England. After listening to that idiot Delacamera and the worst one of all Chris Sullivan I think his name is. That was the last straw.
