The SEPTA schedule for tomorrow's Union game

Including some very important notes about postgame service to Center City and Wilmington.

A reminder to check out the first part of my exclusive interview with ESPN soccer commentator Adrian Healey. Click here to read it.

This schedule is worth taking note of. With kickoff time scheduled for just after 7:00 p.m., there aren't many scheduled postgame trains to Center City. So I think you will want to make sure you are out of PPL Park quickly enough that you can make the 9:43 p.m. departure.

You won't have to really rush, but since the next train after that isn't for another two hours, the timing of things after the game is something you should keep in mind.

For fans going south after the game, the departures are at 9:04 p.m. and 11:01 p.m. The 9:04 p.m. train has been extended to Wilmington. I was told today by a SEPTA spokesperson that the Union and SEPTA communicate about passenger flows after games, so that 9:04 train will likely be held at Chester until the shuttle buses make it to the station.

With such a big gap between trains, let's hope that actually happens.

Also, there is a northbound train from Wilmington that arrives in Chester at 6:54 p.m. I have taken that train off the schedule for this week because since the opponent is New York, PPL Park will be especially packed. The word is that nearly 450 Red Bulls fans will be making the trip down to Chester, so it's possible that there will be increased security measures as well.
