Janusz Michallik joins Union's TV broadcast team

The Union did not take long to find a replacement for dismissed TV color analyst Peter Pappas.

The Union did not take long to find a replacement for dismissed TV color analyst Peter Pappas.

Janusz Michallik, a very familiar voice to American soccer fans, will join longtime friend JP Dellacamera to call the Union's next two games: at Montreal this coming Saturday (7:30 p.m., The Comcast Network) and at home vs. Real Salt Lake on Sunday, July 31 (7 p.m., Comcast SportsNet).

Arrangements for games after Michallik's stint in the chair aren't fully confirmed yet. Don't be surprised if Bethlehem Steel color analyst Matt Kassel, a former Union midfielder, comes aboard for a few games.

The Union have 14 games left in the regular season. At least 12 of them will be local broadcasts. The last two - home games against Orlando on October 16 and the New York Red Bulls on October 23 - are open to flex scheduling on to national TV broadcasts.
