After weeks of speculation, WWE officially announced the signing of popular Japanese wrestler Kanako Urai, better known as Kana, to a developmental deal Monday night.
Kana will be making her way to WWE after 11 years of making a name for herself in her native Japan.
“We are very excited to have Kana join the NXT roster,” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque in a WWE press release. “Her exciting in-ring style will make an immediate impact on the already impressive NXT women’s division.”
Kana will report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. later this month.
