WWE Roadblock: End of the Line 2016 - Match-by-match predictions for the show
It is the end of the line for WWE, as it is presenting its final pay-per-view of the year, Roadblock: End of the Line, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh Sunday.
The Raw exclusive pay-per-view will end a string a of seemingly endless pay-per-view events that have flooded WWE fans' schedules during the fall.
After Roadblock, WWE fans will get a chance to take a bit of a breather until the Royal Rumble, which is when WWE typically kicks things into high gear.
However, we have one more pay-per-view to trudge through until we get to that point, so let's get to the predictions, shall we?
WWE Universal championship – Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns
I do not feel as though that this match should be on top of the card, but it is indeed the first match listed on WWE.com.
The reason why I don't feel that this match is worthy of headlining the show is because of the lack of a real story between Owens and Reigns heading in.
Their rivalry has taken a backseat to the Owens-Jericho friendship breaking down, and the title they are competing for is even further in the background.
Despite all of that, I do believe Owens and Reigns will put on a very good match Sunday night. As has been the case so many times in the past, they are both talented enough in the ring to make fans overlook the lackluster creative they are dealt.
As far as a winner, I'm going with Owens to retain.
Prediction: Owens RETAINS the Universal title
WWE Raw Women's championship (30-minute ironman match) – Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte
In my eyes, this is the real main event.
I don't see how you have an ironman match — whether it's 30 or 60 minutes — be anything less than the main event.
The last ironman match to take place on a WWE pay-per-view was at the inaugural Bragging Rights back on Oct. 25, 2009 between John Cena and Randy Orton in Pittsburgh of all places.
That match was the main event and this one should be, too.
Not to mention, the story and history between Banks and Charlotte warrants their supposed final encounter to be in the main event.
Since this is supposed to be the end of this long feud, I'm going with Banks to win.
Prediction: Banks RETAINS the Raw Women's title
Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho
Despite the talent involved, I'm not really sure I care that much about this match.
It should be good, but I have no other reason to watch it other than it should be good once the bell rings.
I'm going with Rollins just because.
Prediction: Rollins def. Jericho
WWE Cruiserweight championship – Rich Swann (c) vs. TJ Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick
I thought WWE was doing a decent job of building up this match until it had Swann tap out to Perkins on this week's episode of 205 Live.
I still don't understand for the life of me why WWE continues to beat its champions in non-title matches in an effort to build up the challenger. That is what the rest of the roster is for.
Anyway, WWE only did that so Swann can retain at Roadblock.
Prediction: Swann RETAINS the Cruiserweight title
Sami Zayn vs. Braun Strowman
Zayn finally got his wish and he doesn't even have to pin his opponent to come away a winner. All he has to do is last 10 minutes with Braun Strowman and he'll come away looking better for it. At least that is what WWE hopes.
I think Zayn will last the 10 minutes, but after taking a whale of a beating from Strowman.
Prediction: Zayn lasts 10 minutes
WWE Raw Tag Team championship – The New Day (c) vs. Sheamus & Cesaro
Now that The New Day is officially the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history, it seems as though that all bets are off as to when they finally lose the titles.
However, I don't think that time comes at Roadblock and I am picking them to retain.
Prediction: The New Day RETAINS the Raw Tag Team titles

Uh… Big Cass wins? Big Cass wins.
