Dave Scherer of PWInsider.com reported Saturday that WWE targeted Feb. 24 as the launch date of its network.

Scherer reported that WWE targeted that day specifically because it is the day after Elimination Chamber and wants to use it in the build up to WrestleMania XXX.

WWE has since released a statement regarding Scherer’s report and it said the following:

“As discussed on WWE’s latest earnings call, we continue to aggressively pursue the launch of a WWE Network in 2014 via traditional and non-traditional distribution models; however no launch date has been confirmed.”

WWE Network has been delayed for more than a year due to the company not being able to settle on distribution issues with cable companies.

WWE will have another earnings conference call Oct. 31. Another update on the status of the network is expected during the call.
