WWE NXT not officially booked for 2300 Arena, talks still ongoing

The WWE is currently in discussions with the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia about presenting a pair of NXT events from the venue, but nothing has been officially booked, a 2300 Arena official told philly.com Thursday.

PWInsider.com reported Thursday that NXT will be invading the Northeastern United States "very, very soon" and that the WWE has a hold with the 2300 Arena for Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.

Although talks between the two sides have gone on for more than a month, an official with the 2300 Arena said that nothing has been confirmed, not even the dates, and that there is no timetable as to when that will happen.

The two sides have discussed potential dates for the shows, but the WWE is currently trying to figure out whether it can fit the dates into its touring route through the Northeastern part of the country.

If the WWE ends up deciding on May 15 and 16, it will make for a very busy week for the 2300 Arena. On Tuesday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 13, the venue is also scheduled host a pair of Ring of Honor-New Japan Pro Wrestling joint shows.
