Jim Ross to host one-man show in Philadelphia Jan. 25, adds to long list of wrestling events that weekend

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross will be hosting a pair of one-man shows in Philadelphia and New Jersey during Royal Rumble weekend.

On Sunday, Jan. 25, which is the day of the Royal Rumble, Ross will host a matinee at the Trocadero Theater at 1003 Arch Street. The show is slated to begin at 3 p.m. with a VIP meet and greet to being at 1 p.m. Tickets start at $20.

He will also host a one-man show Friday, Jan. 23 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J., starting at 8 p.m. There will be a VIP meet and greet at 6 p.m. and tickets start at $20.

VIP ticket holders for both shows will receive a free bottle of JR's Original BBQ Sauce.

Ross' one-man show is just one of the many wrestling-related events coming to Philadelphia that weekend.

As of right now, the hectic weekend will begin Saturday, Jan. 24 when Ring of Honor will host its second television taping of 2015 at the 2300 Arena, which is located at 2300 S. Swanson Street at 7 p.m.

The very next day, the 2300 Arena will play host to CHIKARA's season opener at 2 p.m.

A couple of hours before Ross' one-man show on Sunday, Eric Bischoff and Bruce Prichard will host a live debate about the Monday Night War at Dave & Buster's at 325 N. Columbus Blvd. That is scheduled to begin at noon.

The culmination of the weekend's events is of course the Royal Rumble, which emanate from the Wells Fargo Center.
