Jake 'The Snake' Roberts diagnosed with cancer

Newly named WWE Hall of Famer Jake 'The Snake" Roberts has been diagnosed with cancer, according to TMZ.

According to the report, Roberts has a cancerous tumor in his knee that's slowly growing into his muscle. Because of that, Roberts needs emergency surgery to have the tumor removed.

Roberts told TMZ that he noticed the tumor about a month ago and had it tested. The results came back Friday and the doctors told him the tumor was indeed cancerous.

Roberts is reportedly scheduled for surgery Tuesday morning and will take some time off, but vowed to appear at Jersey Championship Wrestling Friday, March 14 regardless. The same goes for his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Saturday, April 5.

"If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell," Roberts told TMZ. "Pray for sick children who face horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine."
