Former German national team goalkeeper says WWE has offered him a contract

When Paul "Triple H" Levesque said that the WWE was scouting the best athletes from around the world, regardless of their skill level or knowledge of wrestling, he wasn't kidding.

That's because former German national team and Bundesliga goalkeeper Tim Wiese told German newspaper Bild that the WWE has offered him a developmental contract.

According to multiple reports, the 32-year-old has added more than 50 pounds of muscle since being released from the Hoffenheim club in the Bundesliga, Germany's most prominent soccer league. Wiese reportedly weighs more than 250 pounds.

This recent photo of him essentially confirms that.

"I have an official enquiry from the WWE," Wiese told Bild. "It's about working for them as a wrestler. I will listen."

"I don't s*** my pants," he added. "Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week."

Wiese was a part of the German national team during the 2010 World Cup and made more than 200 appearances for Bundesliga club Werder Bremen between 2005 and 2012.
