Dalton Castle talks Ring of Honor Best in the World and more

Dalton Castle recently sat down with me to answer a couple of questions ahead of Ring of Honor's Best in the World pay-per-view, which is set to air live, beginning at 9 p.m. Friday.

Castle, alongside The Boys, will challenge Bully Ray and The Briscoes for the Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team championships.

Here is how the brief conversation went:

What are your thoughts heading into Best in the World?

Castle: My thoughts going into the match are positive. They are confusing, but they are also delicious, you know? There is a mixture of everything in that.

What do you think about the constant contrast in styles and characters your matches typically bring to Ring of Honor?

Castle: You are correct it is a constant contrast and there will always be contrast when I get in the ring with somebody because within Ring of Honor I am as legit as it gets. There's nobody in that locker room that is better than me, that serves more of a threat than me and I promise you that maybe even outside of Ring of Honor, there's nobody that can throw a suplex better than me. With that stepping into the ring there's contrast, but I think it favors on my side."

Were you ever worried about the Ring of Honor fans accepting you? There are usually more straightforward, serious wrestlers in Ring of Honor and you bring a different flavor to the promotion.

Castle: No because that wouldn't make or break me. I'm going to be me no matter how somebody sees me. I'm going to act the way I want to act and behave in a way that makes me comfortable and I'm going to do what I think is entertaining and right.

Whether or not the fans or management or anybody beyond that see that as a positive or a negative that's not going to change who I am.

There have been reports that you have recently re-signed with Ring of Honor. If true, what went behind your decision to stay with the promotion?

Castle: I can't disclose any truth behind that at the moment. I will say that at the moment yes, I am with Ring of Honor and I've been happy. Nothing has swayed me one way or the other. The only thing I'm worried about or focused on is the pay-per-view we've got coming up on Friday at Best in the World. I don't think too far ahead beyond that.
