Weckerly's ice cream opening a shop in Fishtown
Location is 9 W. Girard Ave., next to Green Aisle Grocery and in the thick of the Girard Avenue nightlife action.
Jen and Andy Satinsky have found a brick-and-mortar home for Weckerly's, the French-style custard ice cream the couple founded in late 2012.
Location is 9 W. Girard Ave., next to Green Aisle Grocery and in the thick of the Girard Avenue nightlife action.
Planned for later this year, the shop will offer ice cream sandwiches and six frequently rotating flavors of dipped ice creams and two sorbets.
Weckerly's started at Green Line Cafe in West Philadelphia and now makes its products at Globe Dye Works in North Philadelphia. Its nontraditional combos include Buckwheat Sour Cherry, Caramel Corn and Lemon Verbena Black Raspberry, as well as Black & White and Carrot Cake.
