1,000 free cupcakes at reopening of Gallery bakery

Tiffany's Bakery, which has been on the Ninth Street side of the food court since the mall opened in the late 1970s, is relocating to the entrance of Jefferson Station, near 10th Street. It will occupy a larger storefront and boast a larger menu (egg sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, La Colombe coffee).

At least one family-owned small business wasn't torn asunder by the renovation of the Gallery in Center City.

To mark the opening, owner Frank Pantazopoulos will give away a cupcake to the first 1,000 customers starting at 9 a.m. Friday, June 5.

The new location will have an 85-inch TV that will display bakery info and the SEPTA train timetable.
