Temple to get Chipotle and Potbelly
A rep of the Goldenberg Group, which with Bright Hope Baptist Church is developing the former site of John Wanamaker Middle School (11th and Cecil B. Moore) as student housing, said that the chains were on board. A third quick-serve and a coffee outlet also are on the way when the building opens in time for classes in fall 2014.
Temple kids are getting what Penn students have had for a few years: locations of fast-food giants Chipotle and Potbelly.
As I wrote last month, Temple is looking for a flagship restaurant on the 1300 block of Cecil B. Moore.
Drexel, meanwhile, will get branches of Shake Shack, Joe Coffee and Yogorino when Chestnut Square at 3200 Chestnut St. opens next month. That project also has the homegrown Zavino and coZara (a Zama offshoot).
