Steve & Cookie's opening a bakery in Ventnor

If you're working on a beach body for the Jersey shore this summer, here is fair warning:

Caroline "Cookie" Till, owner of Margate's popular Steve & Cookie's restaurant, is opening a stand-alone bakery in Ventnor.

No. 7311 - after the address 7311 Ventnor Ave., on the corner of Martindale Ave. (yes, in a former gym) - will sell small batches of baked goods - muffins, cakes, (yes) cookies, and her signature blueberry pie.

Coffees/espresso drinks and tea will round out the mix.

"I'm keeping it small," she said.

Till hopes to open in early May.
