Society Hill landmark Zeke's 5th Street Deli (318-20 S. Fifth St.) closed recently after two decades, but the spot has a new tenant.

April 19 is the target opening of Union Gourmet Restaurant 5th Street. Owners are Theresa Fera and Felix Maietta, who have run the food operation for many years at the Down Town Club at Sixth and Chestnut Streets. (They also briefly had a Union Gourmet market/cafe at 1111 Locust St. where Garces Trading Co. is now.)

Maietta says he'll retain a little bit of the popular deli food, but it will be more of casual American restaurant serving breakfast and lunch daily and dinner (Tuesday through Saturday).
