  • Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man, looking at "June/July" for its opening around the corner from Butcher & Singer, opened a hiring office today. It's on the second floor of the 1500 Walnut St. building, whose entrance is on 15th Street. The chocolate retailer/restaurant will use 1500 Walnut St. as its address, rather than the 212 S. 15th St. used by its previous occupant. Butcher & Singer's address is also 1500 Walnut.

  • Miga, the Japanese-Korean BBQ, is looking at "late May to mid June" across the street from Max Brenner at 211 S. 15th St., the former ¡Pasión! space. Miga is awaiting delivery of BBQ tables from Korea.

  • Jannie, the popular Chinese-Japanese in Northeast Philly's Cottman-Bustleton Center and next to the Regal movies in Warrington, has a third location coming up in a few weeks at 1810 Ridge Pike in Royersford.

  • I have posted Union Trust's new dinner menu.

  • Mio Pomodoro, the Italian restaurant that opened in the Jenkintown train station last September, is closed.
