Dave Magrogan says he could not negotiate a new lease for his seven-year-old Kildare’s Irish Pub location on Route 202 in King of Prussia, so he's pulling the plug.

He's closing it down, wake-style, with parties: Pierre Robert's "Workforce" on Thursday, followed Friday and Saturday with such bands as Foster Child and the Malarky Brothers.

Last night will be Sunday (9/12).

The other seven locations will remain open: West Chester, Manayunk, Newark, Del., Scranton, Chapel Hill, N.C., South Bend, Ind., and State College.

He said most staff would be able to transfer to other restaurants within the Dave Magrogan Group. These include Mas Mexicali Cantina, Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House, Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine bar and any other Kildare’s location.

This guy appears to close MORE places than he opens. Can never figure out why they are spread all over the map. Very tough to manage operations and profitability. Terrible food, mediocre operators. Not shocked by this closing, KING~out

OPM is right, the little rhino is sooo tapped out to the looong list of investors, he cant borrow anymore. Its funny because youd think a place that 3.5MM a year and was the ONLY place in the area with enough space to do live music and what not, rent would not be an issue. ESPECIALLY now adays when ANYONE can get a rent reduction just so the plave doesnt go dark!! Really, Dave?!?! REALLY!?! Also, the only reason these fake pubs keep poppin up is he sells them like franchises to idiots in college towns!! He doesnt run ANY of them!!
