Restaurant notes: Chef chat

Opa, the Greek restaurant on Sansom Street, expects to open later this month.

  1. Opa, the modern Greek restaurant-lounge coming to 1311 Sansom St. later this month, has signed Andrew Brown as its chef. Brown's resume includes Django (under Bryan Sikora and Aimee Olexy) and the White Dog Cafe.

  2. Lynn Rinaldi, chef-owner of Paradiso on East Passyunk, has created low-carb recipes in a deal with Atkins. Among them: fennel-crusted tuna, lemon mousse parfait, and braised braciola.

  3. Meanwhile, Nutrisystem has tapped Michael Solomonov (Zahav, Percy Street, Xochitl) for its Chef Culinary Council, a team of chefs that works on its program.
