In today's marketing campaign glomming onto the U.S. Open, we have coffee retailer Saxbys.
Saxbys recently ran a competition that crowd-sourced fans, local communities, and employees for latte recipe ideas for its summer menu.
Those winning drinks - Banana Boat Latte and Peanut Butter Cup Latte - will be sold at its Haverford store at a price tied to the score of an Open round by Jim Furyk.
Furyk was chosen because he is a West Chester native and a high probability to advance to Sunday, Saxbys says.
If he shoots a 70, Saxbys will sell the drink for 70 cents the next day.
Furyk is not affiliated with the promotion, Saxbys says. We know he gets his jolt via 5-hour Energy.
