Pinckney hired as Sixers color commentator
The onetime Villanova standout is back with SportsNet.
Comcast SportsNet has brought in onetime Villanova star Ed Pinckney as color man for the 76ers games; he'll work with Marc Zumoff, entering his 16th season as play-by-play announcer.
Pinckney, whose 12-year NBA career includes one as a Sixer during the 1995-96 season, has done broadcast work for the Miami Heat and was a Postgame Live analyst for two seasons.
He replaces Bob Salmi, whose contract was not renewed in the spring.
