Philly won't host movie premiere

Put down your cameras. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are not coming.

Philly did not score the "other" red-carpet premiere of The Other Guys, the Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg cop comedy.

For nearly three weeks, moviegoers voted on Facebook to decide which city will host a star-filled event celebrating the film this Thursday, the day before it opens wide.

St. Louis won. At least Philly has its native son Ryan Howard.

From a sentimental side, signs had pointed to Philly. The Other Guys was directed and cowritten by Adam McKay, who graduated from Great Valley High in Malvern.

Wahlberg has made no secret of his love for Philly, as he shot movies including Invincible, The Lovely Bones, and The Happening here.
