Pez Veloz: Loco Pez in Fishtown opens a bottle shop

Loco Pez, the popular Mexican-theme bar in Fishtown, has opened a bottle shop and lunch spot next door.

Pez Veloz (as in "Pez fast") looks like it's been there for years, just as Loco Pez does. Sedso Design executed a mural.

You're served food - tacos, burritors, quesadillas, tortas, etc. - at the counter. Lunch is on from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, with dine-in till 3:30 p.m.

The bottle shop serves 6- and 12-packs, as well as Loco Pez's takeout food business, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. After 10 p.m., food and beer are available at the bar till 1 a.m.

Right now, there are about three dozen beers in the cooler - mainly Mexicans, plus Yards, 21st Amendment, Dogfish Head, and your hipster PBR. Large formats are on the way.

Single beers are available at lunch.
